The final Grand Slam of the year is here: the US Open! Tommy is playing both the singles and doubles competition here as well; his doubles partner is Sergio Roitman and they will play against Chase Buchanan and Ryan Harrison on the first round. In singles, Tommy is the no. 15 seed and he will meet Mischa Zverev in the first round.

Unfortunately no luck in the singles competition for Tommy in Beijing: he lost his first round match to Andreas Seppi in a close match: 4-6 6-4 6-8. But luckily Tommy and Rafael Nadal were able to secure their spot in the second round with a straight set victory over Sweden (Jonas Bjorkman and Robin Soderling): 6-3 6-3.
In the second round Tommy and Rafa will play against two players from Australia: Lleyton Hewitt and Chris Guccione. The match is scheduled 4th on Show Court 1, play starts at 4 pm.

Time for the biggest sporting event in the world: the Olympics! Tommy will be fighting for Spain in both the singles and doubles competition - he will play doubles with Rafael Nadal.
Both first round matches were scheduled for today, but unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating. Tommy's first round singles match against Andreas Seppi was suspended at 2-5, and all play has been cancelled for today.
Play for Monday has been scheduled as follows: the 5th match on Show Court 2 is Tommy and Rafael's first round doubles match against Robin Soderling and Jonas Bjorkman (Sweden), the second match on Court 4 is Tommy's singles match against Andreas Seppi (Italy). Play starts at 10.30 am.

Last week Tommy played the Rogers Masters Cup in Toronto, but unfortunately he lost in the second round to Marin Cilic.
This week is another Masters Series event: Cincinatti. Tommy is the no. 12 seed and is already through to the second round: yesterday he comfortably beat Mardy Fish 6-2 6-2. Today Tommy will play his second round match against Robin Soderling, it's the third match on Grandstand (play starts at 11 am).
Tommy is also playing doubles this week; not with his Olympics partner Rafael Nadal, but with Andre Sa. Their first match is against Paul Hanley and Jordan Kerr and will be played today, the last match on Court 4.

Congratulations Tommy with your 7th ATP singles title! Luckily there were no rain delays today, and Tommy defeated Tomas Berdych in two fairly easy sets: 6-4 6-1. Well done!

And another final for Tommy! Yesterday, in a match that was interrupted twice by thunderstorms, Tommy managed to beat compatriot David Ferrer to claim his spot in the final. Final score: 2-6 6-1 6-2.
Today Tommy will try to win his second Bastad title. He will play against Tomas Berdych in the final; the match will be played second on Center Court, not before 2 pm. Vamos Tommy!

A good start for Tommy in singles! Yesterday he made his way into the quarterfinals by beating Jonas Bjorkman in straight sets: 6-3 6-2. Today Tommy will play his quarterfinal match against Jarkko Nieminen. It's the third match on Center Court, play starts at 12 pm.
Unfortunately Tommy and Fernando didn't make it in the doubles... They lost their match yesteray 2-6 1-6.

Tuesday Tommy and Fernando got through to the second round in the doubles competition by beating their opponents in straight sets: 6-4 6-2.
Today Tommy is playing both his second round singles and his second round doubles match. First up is the singles match against Jonas Bjorkman. The match is scheduled second on Center Court (play starts at 12 pm). The fourth match on Center Court is Tommy and Fernando's doubles match against Johan Brunstrom and Jean-Julien Rojer.

Time for the clay again! This week Tommy is playing the Catella Swedish Open in Bastad. He is the no. 3 seed and has a bye in the first round. In the second round he will meet the winner of the match between Marcel Granollers and Jonas Bjorkman.
Tommy has also entered the doubles competition, with Fernando Verdasco this time. They are the no. 4 seed and will face Filip Prpic and Bjorn Rehnquist in the first round. This match was scheduled at 6 pm today on Court 2, but unfortunately rain has delayed play for now. The match has now been moved to tomorrow, the third match on Court 2 (play starts at 11 am).
Tommy will also participate in the Olympics again! He has been selected for both the singles and doubles competition, where he will play with Rafael Nadal. You can find more information about the Olympics here and here.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates lately...
Two weeks ago Tommy played in Warsaw where he reached the final. Unfortunately he wasn't able to win the tournament - he lost to Nikolay Davydenko. Last week Tommy played "The Boodles Challenge", an exhibition tournament. He reached the final here as well, but again wasn't able to win it; he lost to Nicolas Kiefer.
Tomorrow the third Grand Slam of the year will start: Wimbledon! Tommy is the no. 23 seed and is in the last quarter of the draw. In the first round he will meet Kristof Vliegen from Belgium - their match will probably be played on Tuesday.

Still going strong in the doubles! Yesterday, Tommy and Leander beat Ljubicic and Soderling in straight sets (6-2 7-6(3)) to claim their spot in the semi finals.
In the semi finals they will play against Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, the no. 2 seeds. The match will be played first on Centre Court, play starts at 11 am.

Mixed feelings for Tommy yesterday... First, Tommy lost his second round singles match against Ivo Karlovic in a close fight: 6-3 2-6 6-7(3). Later that day he teamed up with Leander Paes for their doubles match in which they beat the no. 3 seeds, Erlich and Ram (6-3 4-6 10-2). Tomorrow they will play their quarter final match against Ivan Ljubicic and Robin Soderling. They play the second match on Court M1, not before 1 pm. Good luck to both!

A rocky start for Tommy in the singles competition... He nearly lost his first round match to Philipp Kohlschreiber, but he fought back to claim the victory: 2-6 7-6(5) 6-3. Their first round match is against Tomas Berdych and Dmitry Tursunov, which will be played 4th and last tomorrow on court M2 (play starts at 12 pm).

Unfortunately the quarter final is again the last stop in a tournament for Tommy. After having defeated Nicolas Mahut in the second and Nikolay Davydenko in the third round, Tommy lost to Andy Roddick in the quarter final today.
Next up for Tommy is the Masters tournament in Hamburg next week.

Tommy is playing in his hometown Barcelona this week. Yesterday he played doubles with Santiago Ventura, which unfortunately didn't have the same result as with Rafa... They lost the match 0-6 1-6. Today Tommy played his second round match (he had a bye in the first round) against Robin Haase, which Tommy won easily in two sets: 6-2 6-4.
Tomorrow Tommy will play his third round match against Guillermo Canas. The match is scheduled on Central, not before 2.30 PM.

What a great week for Tommy and Rafael in Monte Carlo! After Rafa's fourth victory in Monte Carlo, he and Tommy teamed up again to play against Bhupathi & Knowles for the doubles title. And with sucess! They won the match in straight sets: 6-3 6-3. Congratulations chicos!

Alas... David Nalbandian stopped Tommy's run in the singles competition today: he beat Tommy in straight sets (6-1 6-0).
Luckily there was also a doubles match to be played! Tommy and Rafael Nadal are now in the semifinals: they beat Cermak and Kohlschreiber 6-7(5) 6-1 10-3. The semifinal will be played on Saturday.

Tomorrow is a busy day for Tommy... First he will play his singles match against Stanislav Wawrinka (second match on Court 2), later in the day he will play doubles again with Rafael Nadal, this time against Nestor / Zimonjic (last match on Court Central).

Hi again! Well, I've moved into my new house, all the boxes have been unpacked... the chaos is slowly making place for peace and quiet again :) Which means time again to update the site!
This week Tommy will be playing the Masters Series in Monte Carlo. He's the no. 12 seeded which means he is in the first quarter of the draw. In the first round he will meet Stanislas Wawrinka from Switzerland.
Tommy and Rafa are again playing doubles; their first match will be against wildcard players Couillard and Lisnard from Monaco. The match is scheduled for tomorrow, the last match on Court Central. Buena suerte chicos!

Time for the next tournament... Rotterdam! Unfortunately Tommy is not seeded this time, and he will play against Nicolas Mahut in the first round. The "NaBredo" team is also back! Tommy is playing doubles with Rafael Nadal. Unfortunately they have to play against two other Spaniards in the first round: Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez. This match will be played tomorrow, it's the last match of the day session on center court.

Congratulations to Spain! They have secured a spot in the quarter finals of the Davis Cup as they are now leading Peru 3-0 after two days. Tommy only needed 3 sets to give Spain a 2-0 lead on the first day, beating Ivan Miranda 6-2 6-3 6-3. Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez won their doubles match to claim the victory for Spain. In the quarter finals Spain will meet the winner of the tie against Germany and Korea, which is yet undecided.
At this moment, Tommy is still scheduled to play the fourth match in this tie against Luis Horna. It's the first match today, starting at 2.30 pm (local time).

Tomorrow the first two matches of the Davis Cup tie between Spain and Peru will be played (first match to start at 4 pm local time). Nicolas Almagro will take on Luis Horna first, after which Tommy will play against Ivan Miranda. On Saturday, Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez will team up for the doubles match against Luis Horna and Ivan Miranda. The reversed singles will be played by the same players: first, Tommy against Luis Horna followed by Nicolas Almagro against Ivan Miranda.

And a shaky start for Tommy in the first Grand Slam too... After a difficult victory over German Mischa Zverev in 5 sets (4-6 2-6 7-6(2) 6-4 7-5) he went down to Mardy Fish in straight sets (1-6 2-6 3-6).
Next up for Tommy is Rotterdam, where I will be able to cheer for him in person!

at Doha and Sydney.
